It leaves it as "i". I tried adding it (Review tab, Spelling & Grammar, Options, Proofing, AutoCorrect Options, AutoCorrect, Replace: With:), but it won't remember the correction after I've typed it into the grid. I'm not sure, but I believe this is a new problem. I've had the computer for 8 months and it's happened only recently. But regardless of the problem's age, it's driving me crazy.
