One of the best ways to improve your computer productivity is to take advantage of the programmable keys on your keyboard and mouse to save yourself some keystrokes. If you have a Microsoft keyboard like I do and you’re using Windows Vista, you’ll need to download the latest version of IntelliType. Vista shipped with a beta version of the software.
After you install the software, follow these steps to configure your special keys:
1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
2. Click Hardware and Sound.

3. Click Keyboard.

4. Click the Key Settings tab. Click the key you want to reprogram, and then click Edit.

5. Follow the steps in the Reassign A Key wizard to reprogram the key. Click Finish when you’re done.
6. At the Keyboard Properties dialog, click OK.
Now, when you press the key on your keyboard, it’ll do whatever you configured.
thanks for it…i wil configure it

What about remapping other keys, e.g. right Alt to Alt+Gr, without having to change language settings? I want to be able to insert accents without having other key assignments changed, or can I not do this with a US style keyboard?
well the snag with my computer is that i dont have a “Key settings” or “Zooming” tab. after speed and hardware there is nothing that follows. my own computer told me to go to the “buttons tab” but i just dont have that.
