I am also looking for quantifiable info about its performance gains generally. i7-975 @4ghz w/6gig 1200mhz-1T, 5 raptors (all 10K) total, split 1, R0, R0 and a Matrox storage 300. Based on what you've said above, I'll do some testing against the older drive.
